![]() ![]() What is Front Porch?Wherever we may find ourselves, life imposes constant demands on us. These demands only deepen our desire to understand God and each other. As we work to build community, our central challenge remains becoming the people God wants us to be. Walking faithfully requires regular prayer and reflection. Community requires intentionality and the time to grow, flourish, and see our lives changed - as we seek to transform first the nation's capital and then the world around us. But if our lives are so busy, then how do we make all this happen? We gather on the Front Porch. Every week, except for the weeks of New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, members of the Kairos Community gather for conversation, worship, prayer, and reflections on our Sunday night talks. There on the Front Porch we seek to understand God's holy Word, and sort out just what it means to follow Him. Even as we spend time in simple fellowship with one another, we also learn more about our community and ways to engage it actively. Come when you have a free evening. Come when you want to sort out what you heard on Sunday night. Come to meet others. Come to pray for Kairos. Come to be with the community. Come for rest, for reflection, and for renewal. You are welcome to join us. It's a big front porch. There's a light on for you. Come and see. For more information, please contact kairos.front.porch@gmail.com. |
