Retreats are a time for Kairos to grow together as a community, as well as a wonderful chance to learn something new about yourself and the Lord. If you are new to Kairos or have been on the periphery, attending a retreat is a fantastic opportunity to get to know more people and become involved in our community!
Fall RetreatThe Fall Retreat is a weekend spent at a regional camp or retreat center. In addition to time spent studying Scripture and in worship, there usually is plenty of additional time for hiking, journaling, and sitting around the campfire. This retreat especially is a great opportunity to break away from the city into a relaxing setting and to spend time just getting to know other members of the community.Winter RetreatThe Kairos Winter Retreat is the event circled on the calendar every year and generally takes place at a retreat center along the water near Annapolis, MD. The weekend often includes special speakers, discussions in smaller groups, worship, prayer, yummy camp food, fellowship, games, free time, and perhaps a little sub-zero swimming (aka polar-bearing). It truly is the highlight of the year - a terrific weekend to grow together and explore the Kairos core values and how they can truly impact our personal lives, our city and our world. For any questions, or if you have a desire to help with the retreat planning, please contact us at kairos.retreats@gmail.com. |
