Isaiah 61:1-2 The prophet's proclamation is the heart of our apostolic call to go beyond short-term missions by sending members of our community as servants in mid-term (4-6 months) and long-term missions. We count it a privilege to participate with them in their service around the world. John and Samantha Custer Family in Southeast Asia John and Samantha Custer are serving as long-term workers in Southeast Asia. The Custers serve and promote the well-being of minority communities through holistic ministry using local languages. Richard Dennee Richard Dennee is a missionary from The Falls Church, serving the youth of Northern Ireland through the ministry "Youth With A Mission" (YWAM). Richard works on a team of 34 missionaries from a total of 9 different Nations. The team is split into three locations: Belfast, Banbridge, and Closkelt. The team shares a passion for Jesus, a heart for Ireland, and a desire to see God's kingdom come and his will done both in Ireland and through Ireland to other Nations. Sarah Schoolcraft in Lithuania Sarah Schoolcraft works for Lithuania Christian College as the Director of Expatriate Recruitment; she is currently in the midst of a one and a half year assignment there. Anne Stoehr in Kenya In September 2006 Anne Stoehr joined a team of two others to serve for two years with Kenya Connection, an international partnership of Anglican ministries initiated by The Falls Church. Under the auspices of South American Missionary Society (SAMS) and Sharing of Ministries Abroad (SOMA), Anne and the team offer hope and resources as they develop relationships with education, micro-enterprise, healthcare and evangelism ministries in the slums of Nairobi. Faye Yu in Sierra Leone Faye Yu has been serving as the Servant Team Coordinator with Word Made Flesh in Freetown, Sierra Leone since early 2005. WMF brings regeneration and redemption to street kids, orphans, churches and communities in the slums. Faye is building relationships with children and youth through the Lighthouse, Grafton Girls, and Kroo Bay programs and organizing longer retreats to foster healing from physical and mental abuse. She had previously served in mid-term missions for WMF and periodically leads short-term teams serving in Freetown.
